Wolverine Health Explorers (WHE) is a brand new weeklong day summer camp for high school students interested in gaining exposure to a number of health professions while also deepening their understanding of their own personal interests, values and skills. WHE is sponsored by the University of Michigan Career Center.
Rising high school sophomores, juniors and seniors are eligible to apply. Participants will engage in a variety of stimulating, hands-on activities in several schools and colleges on the UM campus, interacting with UM faculty and staff, research scientists and graduate students. Given the traveling nature of this program, participants must be prepared to walk from site to site, for a total of approximately two miles per day. Participants will be accompanied by two UM student chaperones or staff members to all activities.
While applications will be accepted until the camp is full, due to the limited number of available slots and the strong demand for this camp, early application is strongly encouraged. The $300 registration fee includes all activities, supplies, meals and snacks. Students with special dietary needs should plan to bring their own food.
Please note that a registration won’t be considered complete until all forms and full payment are received. Registration confirmation e-mails will be sent once the course is formed in mid-May.
