Pre-Law Services

Because…you don’t have to make all these decisions on your own!

The Career Center offers multiple resources and services to students preparing for a career in law. A team of counselors specializing in pre-law matters is available to assist students with:

• Conducting personal assessments
• Investigating and choosing a career
• Exploring and deciding on a major
• Identifying opportunities to obtain law-related exposure through employment and volunteering
• Understanding timing and process of the law school application
• Building a file with reference letters
• Developing personal statements
• Researching law schools
• Evaluating multiple admission offers
  

Many of the services offered are on a one-on-one basis (counseling, advising, and personal statement reviews), but opportunities for group interactions are also available via programs, career fairs, e-mail groups, etc.
