Waitlists

If you have been waitlisted at a school, you are still under consideration. Contact the admissions office of the medical schools at which you are waitlisted to check their willingness to accept updated materials. If the school appears receptive, keep the school apprised of what you are doing to enhance your application. This could include sending updated transcripts, letters of interest, information regarding new science or health related jobs and projects. While being waitlisted can later lead to acceptance, there are no guarantees of receiving an acceptance offer later. Therefore, while you are updating the schools, also start to consider a contingency plan.
