WolverineDocs
WolverineDocs is a network sponsored by the University of Michigan Career Center. The goal of the network is to facilitate communication between UM pre-medical students and UM graduates who are either currently enrolled in medical school or have recently graduated from it.
WolverineDocs agree to speak about their medical school with UM students and graduates—they do not offer free lodging nor special endorsements of anybody’s candidacy at any give medical school. Rather, they share precious insights on their experience at their particular institution. Their perspectives may be particularly valuable as UM students prepare to travel to schools for their interviews or when they could use an insider’s perspective as they evaluate multiple admission offers.
-
If you are currently enrolled in medical school (or have already graduated from it) and would be willing to serve occasionally as a resource to University of Michigan students and alumni/ae, please register to become a WolverineDoc
-
If you are a University of Michigan student or alum and you would like to connect with a WolverineDoc for information, perspectives and advice, please submit your request
Upon submission, The Career Center will provide you within 3-5 business days with the name and contact information for one WolverineDoc. Please understand that given the newness of the program, The Career Center has not already managed to recruit WolverineDocs from all medical schools. Presently, to avoid overtaxing our alumni/ae, we are prepared to respond to two requests per student.
NOTE: At this stage, the WolverineDocs network counts some 300 registrants from U.S. allopathic medical schools. Plans are underway to also recruit WolverineDocs from osteopathic medical schools and foreign medical schools.
